What, Me Worry?

What, Me Worry?

or: Sing, Fat Lady, Sing

I wasn't worried for a minute. I was too terrified to be worried. At the two minute warning, the Chiefs have the lead 26-21. With 1:54 on the clock, the Bills take the lead 29-26. Bills win.

But, wait... with 1:12 remaining the Chiefs re-take the lead 33-29. Chiefs win.

But, wait... with 0:13 remaining the Bills re-take the lead again for certain victory.

But, wait... with no time left on the clock, the Chiefs tie the game. We're goin' to overtime!

At this point,  Jeff Allen makes his only mistake of the game when he guesses wrong on the coin flip. Chiefs will receive. Over the next eight plays the Chiefs matriculate down the field and score. Sudden Death! This time the Bills aren't only merely dead, they're really most sincerely dead.

Good triumphs over evil, darkness is banished and, for at least the next week, all is right with the world.

How 'bout those... CHIEEEEEFSSS!

On to Cincinnati (as it were)

Happy Trails

That game still has my heart fluctuating….what an emotional roller coaster.. At least I have a week to recover.

to hell with the rest of the playoffs, let these two teams go at it again for best 2 out of 3. But, then we'd have to play them again, EEK!

Winning the Superbowl is the best, clearly. But is this the best Chiefs playoff win EVER? Maybe the wins over the Texans and Titans (and being down so much so early) feel as good. But this has to be better, right?

Certainly most whiplashing, heart pounding, WTF-fest I've ever seen. Loses a couple of points for the complete defensive collapse by both sides at the end and the inexcusable travesty that is Sudden Death. Still, it answered the question of how much time is too much time to leave Patrick Mahomes. Answer: 10 seconds! Grim Reaper indeed.

What an epic! As a fan of neither team, I suffered no stress and simply got to enjoy the craziest, wildest playoff game since maybe Ravens/Broncos in 2013.
